Planning a wedding timeline around light
How to protect the best light without letting photography take over the celebration.
Start with what cannot move
Ceremony time, venue access, travel and meal service set the shape of the day. We work from those anchors, then identify the most flattering and reliable portrait windows for the season and location.
Build in breathing room
A timeline should absorb a late button, a long hug or a speech that runs over. Small buffers keep photography calm and prevent one delay from following you through the entire day.
Treat sunset as a window, not a deadline
The colour before sunset, the last warm light and the blue hour afterward each create something different. We plan a short, focused portrait session so you can enjoy the light without disappearing from your reception.
