Pricing & Packages
Our wedding photography packages start at R8,000 for 6 hours of coverage. We offer three tiers — Essential, Exclusive, and Premium — to suit different wedding sizes and budgets. Final pricing is confirmed after a consultation where we understand your specific day. We believe in transparent pricing and publish our starting rates openly so you can plan with confidence.
Yes. Our combined photography and videography package starts at R24,000 and is our most popular option. Having both under one team means seamless coordination on the day, a consistent creative style across both mediums, and one point of contact for everything.

We do however include a free engagement shoot with every package.
Weddings within Gauteng are covered in our package pricing. For weddings outside Gauteng — including the Cape Winelands, KwaZulu-Natal, and destination weddings — travel and accommodation costs are quoted separately. We photograph weddings across South Africa and have shot internationally.
Booking & Availability
The quickest way is to contact us directly via our website contact form or WhatsApp. Dates are confirmed only once a booking deposit has been received, so we recommend reaching out as early as possible — popular dates, especially in spring and summer, book months in advance.
Most of our couples book 6 to 18 months ahead of their wedding date. We do occasionally have last-minute availability, but to avoid disappointment — particularly for peak season dates between September and April — earlier is always better.
Once you’ve confirmed availability and we’ve had a consultation, securing your date takes minutes. Everything is handled online — no paperwork, no back-and-forth. A booking deposit locks your date, and from there we set up a dedicated WhatsApp group for your wedding.
Style & Approach
Our work is cinematic, emotional, and light-driven. We blend documentary storytelling with directed portraiture — meaning we guide every pose so you always look natural, but we also know exactly when to step back and let moments unfold. The result is a gallery that feels both timeless and alive.
Both, intentionally. Many couples feel awkward in front of a camera — that’s completely normal. Our approach is to direct every pose clearly and confidently, so you always know what to do and never feel lost. Within that structure, genuine emotion comes through naturally. Our couples often say they forgot the camera was there.

Jamie Jonk brings 17+ years of experience and over 1,000 weddings to every booking. That depth of experience means nothing surprises us — we’ve shot in bushveld lodges, clifftop ceremonies, city cathedrals, and intimate garden settings. We’re calm under pressure, invisible when we need to be, and fully in control of the creative outcome. We’re also one of the few South African wedding photographers to offer a complimentary engagement shoot as standard.
On the Day
We normally have 1 photographer with an assistant. You are welcome to request for two photographers, we have a team that is ready to make your day special and never miss a moment
If you requested Jamie as your photographer then yes.
However all photographers that are part of the Jamie & Co team are trained by Jamie himself. Rest assured you are in good hands
With 17 years and over 1,000 weddings, we’ve encountered every situation imaginable. We prepare extensively before each wedding, maintain backup equipment for every critical piece of gear, and adapt in real time. Bad weather, late starts, and schedule changes are part of the job — not emergencies.
Your Gallery & Deliverables
We edit all the photos taken on your day. Basically you get unlimited photos. It all depends on how much time we get with you as the couple.
Your final gallery is delivered within 6 to 8 weeks of your wedding date via a private online gallery. You’ll receive a link to download, and share

Jamie Jonk is a Johannesburg-based award-winning wedding photographer with over 17 years of experience and more than 1,000 weddings photographed across South Africa and beyond. He founded Jamie & Co. His work has been recognised with multiple industry awards.
We are based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and regularly photograph weddings across South Africa — including Gauteng, the Cape Winelands, KwaZulu-Natal, the Garden Route, Mpumalanga, and the North West. We also accept destination wedding enquiries internationally.
Our primary focus is weddings. We also offer engagement shoots (included with all packages).
We love doing maternity shoots. We also specialize in product photography and video productions. Jamie runs photography education through workshops and his “Edit Like a Pro” course for photographers wanting to develop their editing style and technique.
